Elegant faja (belt) made in the town of Santa Maria de Jesús. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit. This beautiful faja measures 90″ long, not including the fringe which measure and additional 7” on each end. It also measures 2” wide. The stitched flower design runs approximately 35” of the total length.
This faja is woven in a beautiful rose/pink color and is accented with a free-hand machine embroidered design. The flowers are a complimenting salmon, yellow, and white color with green leaves.
This faja is in excellent condition with little sign of wear. Perhaps a few loose threads.
