Bright little girl’s faja (belt) made in the town of Santa Maria de Jesús. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit. This beautiful petit faja measures 55″ long. It also measures 1 1/3” wide. The stitched flower design runs approximately 22” of the total length.
This faja is woven in a eye catching purple color and is accented with a free-hand machine embroidered design. The flowers are a complimenting purple and white color with green leaves.
This faja is in very good condition with a small amount of wear. Perhaps a few loose threads.

This faja is woven in a lovely purple color and is decorated with a woven design of geomorphic deer in various shades of purple.

It also measures 2” wide. The stunning artwork shows squirrels and parrots amongst various flowers and fruits throughout the design on a bright purple background. The weaving is done in the very fine and detailed San Antonio style where the pattern is identical on both sides.

This faja is woven in a stunning yellow, purple, and burgundy color and is accented with woven figures in colors of green, blue, gold, and pink in the traditional style of San Juan Sacatepéquez. This beautiful faja measures 100″ long, not including the fringe which measure and additional 6” + on each end. It also measures 4 1/2” wide. The woven geomorphic figure design runs a good portion of the total length.

Nahualá
Striking faja (belt) made in the town of Nahualá. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit. This beautiful faja measures 114″ long, and 8” wide. The woven geomorphic figure design runs approximately 25” on each side for the larger sections and about 5″ each for the small sections on the ends.
This faja is woven in a stunning purple themed section on one side and red themed section on the opposite side. The end sections are similar in the predominately red backgrounds. The are covered with geomorphic woven figures in a rainbow of colors. The background fabric is a black cotton woven fabric with burgundy red stripes.
This faja is in good used condition with some minor sign of wear, including a few loose threads and some very faint staining in the lighter areas.

This beautiful faja measures 86″ long, not including the fringe which measure and additional 5” on each end. It also measures 3” wide. The woven geomorphic figure design runs approximately 70” of the total length.
This faja is woven in a stunning yellow, purple, and burgundy color and is accented with geomorphic woven figures in colores of green, blue, gold, and pink in the traditional style of San Juan Sacatepéquez.
This faja is in very good used condition with very little sign of wear, perhaps a few loose threads. There is a small round dark stain near the end where there is no design.

This faja is woven in a deep navy blue/black color and is decorated with a free-hand machine embroidered design. The design is a jungle of animals that span almost half of the faja. There is a lion, elephant, rabbit, birds, horse, and more! The colors are a variety of green, yellow, blue, pink, red, purple etc. Too many to name!
