Brand new huipil from the area of Salcajá in the department of Quetzaltenango. This new and unfinished huipil measures 36” across the shoulders and 24″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). There is no neck opening because this huipil is unfinished. Laid open this huipil measures 36″ x 48″.

This three-panel huipil is striking in with its purple on purple design with colorful accent stripes throughout the body. There is a 2″ fringe on each end. It is a light/medium weight fabric.

This huipil is in excellent, brand new condition. This is generally how women purchase a new huipil. They select a woven design and then send it to the person to make and decorate the head opening as well as stitch and decorate the sleeve openings, creating a one-of-a-kind blouse. This is a unique item for us to offer for sale, as we do not generally purchase new, unfinished pieces, but this was too lovely for us to pass up.
