San Juan Atitán

Very striking small Santo huipil with beautiful weaving and striking embroidery!! It is from San Juan Atitán in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. This darling Santo huipil, used to dress the saint statues in the church, measures 13 1/2″ across the shoulders, and 17 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is square and measures 4″ by 6 1/2″.

This huipil is sweet with woven designs that feature radiant suns on both sides. The neck, shoulder, and chest area is woven with cotton and acrylic threads that have a multitude of colors including red, pink, green, turquoise, and blue. It is sewn onto a red cotton background with white stripes

This huipil is in excellent condition, with a few sign of wear.

Very traditional small huipil with beautiful weaving and striking embroidery!! It is from San Juan Atitán in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala . This darling huipil measures 16″ across the shoulders, and 20″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is square and measures 4″ by 5″.

This huipil is sweet with woven designs that feature birds on one side and radiant suns on the other around the neck. The woven neck and shoulder area is sewn on to a predominantly red and white woven cotton background.

This huipil is in good used vintage condition, with a few sign of wear.
