Large vintage huipil from the San Martín Sacatepequez region of Guatemala, also know as San Martín Chile Verde. This larger huipil measures 33″ across the shoulders, 32″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is square and measures 4″ along each of the four sides with an additional 3 3/4″ slit on the side to allow it to easily pull over the head. The sides have had the stitching removed, so this huipil opens completely for use as display. The sides can easily be stitched closed to create arm holes for wearing.

This huipil is beautiful with elaborate weaving that features multi-colored birds, corn plants, and mayan stars throughout the body. It is decorated with a machine embroidered collar of flowers and and a little lamb at the neckline. The neckline and sleeves are trimmed in black velvet. The background fabric is a woven deep hunter-green cotton blend.

This vintage huipil is in good used condition, with some sign of wear in the form of some loose threads in the bodice and some wear around the collar and sleeve openings. A wonderful large textile with stunning colors that would be beautiful to wear or display!

This larger huipil measures 33″ across the shoulders, 27″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 5″ in diameter with an additional 3″ slit on the side to allow it to easily pull over the head. The sides have been stitched, creating arm holes for wearing.

This huipil is beautiful with elaborate weaving that features various pastel-colored birds, corn plants, and mayan stars throughout the body. It is decorated with a hand embroidered collar of flowers at the neckline and a hand sewn randa down the front and back. The neckline and sleeves are trimmed in lavender velvet. The background fabric is a woven white cotton.

Huipil from the San Martín Sacatepequez region of Guatemala, also know as San Martín Chile Verde. This large huipil measures 32 1/2″ across the shoulders, 24 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is square shaped and measures 4″ x 4″ with an additional 2″ snap-closed opening to aid in pulling over the head. The sides have been sewn to create armholes

Wonderful bright colors and hand weaving that features colorful zigzag rivers throughout. The background fabric is medium woven black cotton. It is partially lined with a white cotton fabric.

This huipil is in fair used condition with signs of wear, some loose threads and spots of wear in the weaving in the bodice. There is wear on the lining fabric at the collar. This is a large and striking textile!

Huipil from the San Martín Sacatepequez region of Guatemala, also know as San Martín Chile Verde. This large and lovely huipil measures 37 1/2″ across the shoulders, 24″ – 27″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded).  The panels are different lenghts. The neck opening is round and measures 6″ in diameter (small).

This huipil is brightly colored with lovely weaving that features various multi-colored birds and corn plants throughout the body in many colors. The neck opening and sleeve caps are decorated with hand-guided machine embroidery with a sweet pair of birds on each side in a garden of flowers. The background fabric is red cotton blend. The seam down the front and back where the two panels of the huipil join is stitched with a simple design in a rainbow of colors.

The sides have been stitched, creating arm holes for wearing.

This huipil is brightly colored with elaborate weaving that features various multi-colored birds, corn plants, and mayan stars throughout the body in a rainbow of colors. It is decorated with detailed flowers at the neckline that are hand-guided machine embroidery, with a mayan girl embroidered in the center of each side. The neckline is trimmed in black velvet. The sleeves are trimmed in similar velvet accent. The background fabric is red cotton. It is a lovely medium weight textile.

Beautiful cinta/hair piece from the San Martín Sacatepequez region of Guatemala, also know as San Martín Chile Verde. Women wear this style of cinta in their hair as part of their outfit. This colorful cinta measures 120″ in length and 4 1/2″ wide. The design runs the entire length of the cinta.

This cinta is brightly colored with elaborate and colorful weaving that features birds and mayan stars throughout the length. The decoration radiates like a stained glass window. Stunning!

San Martín Chile Verde

Very stunning embroidered huipil! It is from the San Martín Sacatepéquez region of Guatemala; also know as San Martín Chile Verde. This huipil measures 22 1/2″ across the shoulders, 14 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 5″ in diameter with an additional 1″ opening cut on the side of the neck.

This huipil is stunning and brightly colored with elaborate embroidery that features various multi-colored diamonds and triangles throughout the body in turquoise greens, and deep purples. It is decorated across the chest and across the shoulders with designs of corn plants. The neckline is trimmed in soft red velvet as well as the sleeves. The background fabric is black cotton.

This huipil is in good condition, with a few signs of wear. The opening cut at the neck has frayed a small amount.

This huipil is brightly colored with elaborate embroidery that features various multi-colored diamonds and triangles throughout the body in yellow, green, and purple. It is decorated with detailed flowers at the neckline, and a mayan girl embroidered in the center of each side. The neckline is trimmed in soft black velvet with black velvet ties. The randas that hold the panels together are done with a row of lovely white flowers. The sleeves are trimmed in burgundy velvet. The background fabric is deep red cotton.

This huipil is used, but it is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear.

Huipil from the San Martín Sacatepequez region of Guatemala, also know as San Martín Chile Verde. This small huipil measures 24″ across the shoulders, 14″-16″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). One panel is longer than the other. The velvet accented neck opening is round and measures 5″ in diameter, with an addition 1 1/2″ slit on the side. There are ties at the neckline.

The colors are very amazing yellow, green, purple, and blue on a black cotton background. The neck and sleeve openings are trimmed in deep red velvet with lavender ties at the neck.

This huipil is used, but appears to be brand new in condition.
