Stunning tzute from the town of Santa Maria de Jesús. This large and beautiful tzute measures 35″ wide, and 48″ long.

This tzute is beautiful with its deep colors and hand weaving that feature the traditional animal motifs of Santa Maria de Jesús. The colors are yellow, blue, green, purple and pink. The thread used to weave this tzute are mostly acrylic and lustrina. Where the two lienzos join, there is a lovely randa of jars that run the full length of the tzute. The background fabric is woven red cotton. Due to the thickness of the weaving, this tzute is a bit heavy.

This tzute is in very good used condition, with very few signs of wear. There are a few loose threads.

This unique faja measures 88″ long, not including the fringe which measures and additional 5” on each end. It also measures 1 1/2” wide. The stitched bird design runs approximately 34” of the total length.

This faja is woven in white with a tiny purple line that runs each side. It is decorated with a free-hand machine embroidered design. The design is squares that contain a different bird in each in beautiful pastel colors.

This faja is in very good used condition with little sign of wear. Perhaps a few loose threads.

This unique faja measures 80″ long, not including the fringe which measures and additional 5” on each end. It also measures 2” wide. The stitched animal design runs approximately 38” of the total length.

This faja is woven in a deep navy blue/black color and is decorated with a free-hand machine embroidered design. The design is a jungle of animals that span almost half of the faja. There is a lion, elephant, rabbit, birds, horse, and more! The colors are a variety of green, yellow, blue, pink, red, purple etc. Too many to name!

This faja is in excellent (brand new) condition with no sign of wear. It was purchased directly from the person who did the embroidery.

Beautiful wedding cinta from the town of Santa Maria de Jesús. The bride would wear this cinta in her hair on her wedding day as part of her outfit. This colorful cinta measures 75″ in length. The tassels at each end measure 20″ each.

This cinta is hand woven with mayan designs that represent the union of marriage. It is full of colors which are predominantly deep blues, purples, and turquoises with accents of black and white.

This cinta is in very good used condition with a small faint stain on the white cording in one part of the tassel section.

This huipil is absolutely beautiful with brilliant colored embroidery that features birds in a flower garden full of wonderful flowers and happy couples. The colors are glowing jewel colors of greens, pinks, blues, purples, oranges, yellows and more! The neckline and sleeves are accented with black crochet. The background is a black commercial fabric. The embroidery is machine done free-hand, and is truly an art form. Just amazing! This is a wonderful example of the incredibly beautiful ‘fiesta’ huipiles of Santa Maria de Jesús.

Woven corte, or mayan skirt, indigo navy with white stripes and rows of flowers! It is from the town of Santa Maria de Jesús. The corte is a wrap-around skirt that consists of a cut of cloth usually joined to form a tube into which the woman steps. Excess material is wrapped around the body and folded at the waist in pleats, and tied with a faja (belt).

This elegant corte measures 41″ wide and 53″ long (laid flat). Cortes are generally sewn together to make a tube, but this one is not. It is a full flat piece of fabric.

This corte is beautiful with its accented design that is common for the Santa Maria de Jesús region. It has a seam, or randa, of flowers in yellow and green that runs the length of the corte and one that runs the width.

This corte is in good used condition, and very soft, with a few signs of wear and gentle fading of the dark blue fabric.

Where the two lienzos join, there is a lovely randa of flowers, birds, fish, shrimp, and grapes that is machine embroidered free-hand. The background fabric is woven red cotton. Due to the thickness of the weaving, this tzute is a bit heavy.

This tzute is in good vintage used condition, with some signs of wear. There are two smaller areas where thinning and/or holes were repaired by the owner. They are in the lower left area of the tzute. They have been machine stitched, and are difficult to see. Some of the edge trim along the lower right edge has worn off. This would be expected in a vintage tzute. There are a few loose threads.

This huipil is absolutely beautiful with brilliant colored embroidery that features two quetzales (national bird of Guatemala) on each side of the huipil in a flower garden full of wonderful flowers and playful bunnies. The colors are glowing jewel colors of greens, pinks, blues, purples, oranges, yellows and more! The neckline is accented with black crochet. The background is a black commercial cotton blend fabric. The embroidery is machine done free-hand, and is truly an art form. Just amazing! This is a wonderful example of the incredibly beautiful ‘fiesta’ huipiles of Santa Maria de Jesús.

This huipil is in good used condition with some loose threads throughout the bodice as well as small hole on one side in the background fabric perhaps caused when the sleeve stitching was removed. This can be easily repaired and is not readily visible.

Unique special occasion huipil from Santa Maria de Jesús. This striking and different huipil measures 31 ½” across the shoulders, and 26 ½” from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is more or less square and measures 5 ½” in each of the four sides.

This striking huipil is lovely in its predominately deep-red and green design woven with arti-seda thread giving it an iridescent feel. The bodice is filled completely with a double-headed eagle design and accented with the more common (from Santa Maria de Jesús) diamonds across the shoulders. This elegant piece has accent colors of purple, blue, and pink. The collar and sleeves are trimmed with a simple black crochet and the neckline is trimmed on the inside with coordinating purple cotton. The all arti-seda design is woven on a medium to heavy black cotton background. The weaving on this piece is so fine, that the design is completely reversed on the inside of the huipil.

This huipil is in excellent used condition (as if new) and there are no visible signs of wear.
