This striking huipil is from the area of Tecpán. This lovely huipil measures 30” across the shoulders, 28.5″ across the chest*, and 23″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 6.5″ in diameter. The sides have been sewn to create armholes. *This huipil has been taken in about 2″ on each side across the shoulders and if let out, would make the huipil wider.

This soft huipil has the more modern style for Tecpán and is beautiful with its bright colors and hand weaving that features a row full of wonderful flowers across the chest. The colors are shades of blues, pinks and yellows with bright green leaves. There are rows of mayan stars and rivers represented by horizontal triangles throughout. The background fabric is a heavier woven white cotton with blue accent stripes. The thread is predominantly cotton.

This huipil is in good used condition with a few minor signs of wear. There are some loose threads throughout and wear around the collar. Very lovely huipil!

This striking vintage huipil is from the area of Tecpán and is full of flowers and birds. This well worn huipil measures 29″ across the shoulders, 28″ across the chest, and 24″ from shoulders to lower edge. The head opening is diamond shaped and measures 5.5″ along each of the four sides. The sides have been sewn to create armholes.

This huipil has the more modern style for Tecpán and is beautiful with its bright colors and hand weaving that features flowers and birds with zigzag rivers along the lower part of the design. The colors are shades of pinks, blues and reds and greens. The background fabric is heavier woven black cotton blend.

This huipil is in fair used condition with some signs of wear, a few loose threads throughout the design, and a few places where the weaving has worn through creating a hole. The lower edge has some areas of open weave as well. A lovely well used vintage textile!

This striking huipil is from the area of Tecpán. This lovely huipil measures 28” across the shoulders, 22.5 across the chest*, and 19″ – 22″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The front and back differ in length. The neck opening is square and measures 5.5″ x 5.5″. The sides have been sewn to create armholes. *The sides have been taken in substantially (4″+ on each side) to give this huipil a more fitted look. If the stitching was removed it would make it much wider.

This huipil has beautiful tapestry-style weaving that features flowers and birds across the chest in beautiful colors. The shoulders are accents with similar flower designs. The background fabric is heavier white woven cotton blend. There is an extra added panel of white commercial fabric along the bottom to even out the sides and make the huipil longer.

This lovely huipil measures 30″ across the shoulders, 25.5″ across lower section*, and 26.5″ from shoulders to lower edge. The head opening is diamond shaped and measures 8″ x 8″ (generous). The sides have been sewn to create armholes. *The sides have been taken in and if let out, would add approximately 2″ to each side in the width.

This huipil has the more modern style for Tecpán and is beautiful with its bright colors and hand weaving that features flowers, fruits, birds, and fish. The colors are royal shades of pinks, blues and reds and yellows. The background fabric is heavy woven white cotton. The thread is predominantly cotton. There is an added extra panel of commercial fabric on the lower edge on one side in order to make the front and back similar in length.

The sides have been sewn to create armholes.

This huipil has wonderfully bright colors and hand weaving that features flowers in vases throughout the textile. The colors are shades of pinks, purples, greens, reds and yellows. There is blue velveteen trim accenting the collar and sleeves with sweet machine embroidered around the neck opening. The background fabric is heavier woven cotton acrylic blend.

The sides have been partially sewn to create armholes. They can be either stitched closed completely leaving only the armholes, or opened completely for laying flat for display.

This lovely huipil measures 33” across the shoulders, 26″ across the lower section (is altered to make it more narrow along the waist)and 22 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is diamond shaped and measures 5″ along each of the four sides. The sides have been sewn to create armholes, and trimmed inside to reduce bulk.

This huipil has the more modern style for Tecpán and is beautiful with its bright colors and hand weaving that features a row full of bouquets of flowers. The colors are shades of green, purple, black, and red. The background fabric is heavy woven white cotton. The thread is predominantly cotton.

The neck opening is round and measures approximately 6″ in diameter. There is an additional 2 1/4″ slit that has been stitched closed. This could easily be opened to allow more room for pulling over the head. The sides have been partially sewn to create armholes. They can be either stitched closed completely leaving only the armholes, or opened completely for laying flat for display.

This huipil has wonderfully bright colors and hand weaving that features flowers in rows throughout the textile. The colors are shades of pinks, purples, greens, reds and yellows. There is black velveteen and gold trimmed applique accenting the sleeve openings. The background fabric is heavier woven cotton blend with lovely pastel shades.

Beautiful purple huipil from the town of Tecpán. This soft huipil measures 28″ across the shoulders, and 23″ from the shoulders to the bottom hem. The collar is diamond shaped and each of the four sides measures 5″.

This simple yet elegantly woven huipil features purple to pink zigzags of rivers throughout the body on a very dark navy background. The colorful accent is hand-guided machine embroidery that highlights the collar, shoulders, and flows down both the front and back of the lovely textile. The collar and shoulders are trimmed in royal blue velvet.

This huipil is in very good used condition; with perhaps a few loose threads.
