487 Delantal -0265Delantal

Beautiful delantal/apron full of flowers. Original mayan delantal made from the same fabric used for mayan cortes (skirts). This delantal is adorned with extensive hand-guided machine embroidered flowers and birds. The edges have stitched openings that are accented with appliqued flowers. Much of the applique has silver accent threads. This delantal measures 54″ around the waist (from tip of tie to tip of tie), 29″ across the widest part of (at the middle), 19″ across the waist (at the top edge, not including the ties), and 22″ from center of the waist to the bottom edge (length). This delantal has two zippered pockets on the front.

These aprons are a must have for the women of Guatemala. It is very rare to pass through the market and see women that are not wearing an apron, and many times they are this beautiful style.

Additional photos can be found here.

This delantal is in good used condition, with a little sign of wear, perhaps a few loose threads. One pocket zipper no longer zips closed, but this does not detract from this wonderful apron!  It would look great as a decoration in the kitchen, or as a beautiful, useful apron.
