Unique hand-woven and hand-embroidered faja (belt). Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit. This beautiful faja measures 86″ long, with an additional 4.5″ of tassel each end. It measures 1.5” wide. The stitched flower design runs approximately 36” of the total length.
This faja is woven with a white background color and a purple stripe that runs along both edges. It is accented with a fully hand embroidered design. The flowers are a complimenting spectrum of colors and have been meticulously hand sewn.

This faja is in good condition with some wear in the form of a loose threads on several of the flowers. There is a very faint small stain of the reverse side of the faja. A stunning piece for wear or display!
