Elegant faja or woman’s belt made in the town of Nebaj. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit. This beautiful faja measures 2 1/8″ wide, 88″ long, with an additional 9″ of woven/knotted tassel on each end. The colorfully geomorphic design runs approximately 35” on one end.

This faja is woven in the classic green with purple, burgundy and white with fantastic geomorphic figures and people throughout the design on burgundy/red, black and white striped background. There are long woven tassels on each end.

This faja is in great used condition with very little sign of wear. This would make a stunning belt to wear or a unique home accent. A very lovely textile!
