Striking faja (belt) made in the town of San Juan Sacatepéquez. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the mayan traje or outfit.

This faja is woven in a stunning yellow/gold, royal blue, green, and red colors and is accented with woven figures of animals and mayan stars in the traditional style of San Juan Sacatepéquez. This beautiful faja measures 102″ long, not including the fringe which measure and additional 5” – 7″ on each end. It also measures 2” wide. The woven geomorphic figure design runs most of the total length.

This faja is in excellent used condition with little sign of wear, perhaps a few loose threads and some tangling of the tassels. Fantastic color and design!
