Chichicastenango

Lovely Classic Vintage Huipil from Chichicastenango. Traditional tapestry style with beautiful floral design. Fantastic texture and color. Very stunning embroidered huipil from the Chichicastenango region of Guatemala, famous for having one of the largest markets in the country. This huipil measures 24″ across the shoulders, 22 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 5 1/2″ in diameter.

This three panel huipil is striking with elaborate embroidery that features multi-colored flowers throughout the body and shoulders in pink, orange, blue, and green. The neckline is decorated with the radiating sun in various shades of red accented with black velvet. The background fabric is soft black cotton.

This huipil is in great used condition, with minimal sign of wear.
