Huipil from Patzún #200

Very stunning and unique huipil with beautiful weaving and striking embroidery! It is from Patzún in the Chimaltenango region of Guatemala. This lovely huipil measures 33″ across the shoulders, and 21″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 6 1/2″ in diameter.

This huipil is beautiful with hand embroidered flowers surrounding the collar and filling out to the sleeves. The flowers are all hand embroidered in wonderful colors of reds, pinks, and purples and extend to both sides. The background fabric is an incredibly soft deep green. This huipil is wonderful to the touch and pleasing to the eyes!

This huipil is in good used condition with a few minor signs of wear. The background fabric has slight creases where the shoulders had previously been gathered and stitched, but the stitching has been removed to extend the huipil to its full size.
