Super elegant ‘mayan calendar’ design huipil with beautiful weaving and striking embroidery! It is from Patzún in the Chimaltenango region of Guatemala. This lovely huipil measures 33″ across the shoulders, and 22″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 5 1/2″ in diameter. The sides have been sewn to create armholes.

This huipil is exquisite with a hand embroidered design radiating from the collar. The sleeves also have black crochet trim. The style is that of the mayan calendar, with blocks of figures circling the neck opening. It is more similar to the vintage ceremonial style huipiles instead of the more modern ones of all flowers.

The background fabric is an incredibly soft burgundy/red with bands of green, blue, yellow, and pink as stripes. This huipil is wonderfully soft to the touch and pleasing to the eye!

This huipil is in great used condition, with a few loose threads around the collar. A truly exquisite huipil!
