Beautiful huipil from the Quetzaltenango/Xela region in Guatemala. This huipil measures 29″ across the shoulders, and 21″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 6” in diameter.

The colors are a sea of purple, black, green and yellow/gold, with colorful stitching  cascading down the front and back. Around the collar are machine-embroidered flowers with a sweet pair of birds on each side. This huipil was previously gathered on each side, but the stitching has since been removed. The sides are closed, creating sleeve holes.

This huipil is in good used condition. There is some wear in the form of a few loose threads and a couple of worn areas around the neckline.
