Beautiful huipil from the Quetzaltenango/Xela region in Guatemala. This huipil measures 34″ across the shoulders, and 26″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 6” in diameter.

The colors are a sea of purple, bright blue, and yellow/gold, with red, yellow, blue, and pink flowers cascading down the front and back and adorning the neckline. Joining the flowers around the collar are darling girls in the center, one on each side of a pair of quetzales (Guatemala national bird). Both sides of this stunning huipil are very ornately decorated with this beautiful hand-guided machine embroidery. The collar and sleeves are trimmed with a beautiful deep velvet.

This huipil is in good used condition. There are a few loose threads and very faint staining in the lower white section.
