Wonderfully soft and beautiful huipil from the Quetzaltenango/Xela region in Guatemala. This huipil measures 29″ across the shoulders, and 29″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is round and measures 6” in diameter.

The colors are a sea of blue and yellow/gold with accents in a variety of other colors. The collar is trimmed with machine embroidery of flowers in purple and blue and an accent of birds in the center of the collar and flower accents running down both sides from the shoulders. The collar and sleeves are trimmed with burgundy vevet-like accent in like new condition. The background fabric is white cotton.

This huipil is in fair used condition. There are a few loose threads and some faint staining in the lower white section. There is wear in various areas with a few small holes where the collar embroidery joins the bodice. A wonderfully soft and lovely textile!
