Very darling small huipil! This child’s huipil is from the town of San Juan Sacatepéquez. This lovely huipil measures 22” across the shoulders, and 22 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is diamond shaped and each side measures 4” (tiny).

This huipil is beautiful with its deep colors of burgundy, royal blue, and gold/yellow that features the traditional animal motifs found in the huipiles of San Juan Sacatepéquez, including the feathered serpent. The colors of the figures are yellow, royal blue, and green. The collar and sleeve openings are trimmed in black crochet. The black fabric below the woven design is a commercial cotton blend material that was stitched on to extend the length of the garment.

This huipil is in great used condition, with very little sign of wear. This would make a lovely wall hanging or garment for a small child!
