Stunning and large huipil full of deer and mayan stars! This huipil is from the town of Tactic in the region of Alta Verapaz. This lovely huipil measures 36” across the shoulders, and 18 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is diamond shaped and measures 5” on each of the four sides.

This huipil is elegant with its broad spectrum of colors throughout the body. The weaving is accented with traditional deer and mayan stars in the bodice. The colors are almost every color imaginable. There is much use of arti-seda thread in this huipil. The background fabric is a deep pink cotton. There are slight creases from the shoulders down the front and back where it was stitched to narrow the width of the huipil.

This huipil is in good used condition, with a little sign of wear in the form of some loose threads in the bodice.
