Stunning crisp white huipil full of deer and mayan stars! This huipil is from the town of Tactic in the region of Alta Verapaz. This lovely huipil measures 29” across the shoulders, 28″ across the chest, and 25.5″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening measures a generous 6″ x 8″. The sides have been stitched to create armholes.

This huipil is elegant with its beautiful soft pastel colors throughout. The weaving is accented with traditional deer and mayan stars that are often used in huipiles from this area. The collar and sleeve are accented with with a delicate white on white stripe. The background fabric is a crisp light/medium weight woven white cotton. There is an added commercial fabric panel along the lower edge to extend the length. This can easily be removed.
