This striking huipil is from the area of Tecpán. This lovely huipil measures 34” across the shoulders, and 24″ – 29″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded), Panels are of varying length. The neck opening is round and measures approximately 6″ in diameter. There is an additional 2 1/4″ slit that has been stitched closed. This could easily be opened to allow more room for pulling over the head. The sides have been partially sewn to create armholes. They can be either stitched closed completely leaving only the armholes, or opened completely for laying flat for display.

This huipil is in great used condition with few signs of wear, a few loose threads and some wear at the neck and on the velveteen at the sleeve openings. A stunning textile!
