582 Tzute Chajul-0322Chajul

Beautiful Elegant tzute or utility cloth made in the town of Chajul. Tzutes are generally used by both men and woman in a variety of manners. Tzutes are used for many tasks including carrying items, covering the shoulders when cold, and folding a placing on the head to keep the sun off or when entering church.  This tzute measures 28″ by 42″ with 4 1/2″ of fringe at each end.

This tzute is woven in the classic burgundy rich striped threads with fantastic geomorphic animals incorporated throughout and delicate soft tassels on each end. The figures blend into the background stripes and almost appear abstract, until one looks closely. The tzute is done on a single woven panel. It is thick, soft and rich to the touch!

This tzute is in excellent used condition with little wear. A stunning textile for display or use!
