Beautifully elegant tzute or utility cloth/shawl made in the town of Chajul. Tzutes are generally used by both men and woman in a variety of manners. They are used for many tasks including carrying items, covering the shoulders when cold, and folding a placing on the head to keep the sun off or when entering church. This tzute measures 27″ by 57″ with an additional 3.5″ of fringe at each end.
This tzute is woven in the classic burgundy rich, multi-colored striped threads with fantastic geomorphic animals incorporated throughout and delicate soft tassels on each end. The tzute is made on a single woven panel. It is thick, heavy, soft and rich to the touch! This would make a spectacular shawl!

This tzute is in excellent used condition with little wear, perhaps a few loose threads. A stunning textile for display or use!
