Elegant tzute or utility cloth made in the town of San Juan Atitán. Tzutes are generally used by both men and woman in a variety of manners. This particular style is worn by the men of the town over their shoulder and is used for many tasks including carrying items.  This tzute measures 33 1/2″ by 32 1/2″. The woven geomorphic design in the center measures approximately 5” by 11 1/2″.

This tzute is woven in stunning purple and red cotton threads with acrylic blend accent designs and delicate soft tassels on one end.

Please note that this item can be combined with the sombrero, faja, camisa, and capixaij (capishay) from San Juan Atitán that we have for sale to have a man’s outfit from the pueblo, just add white cotton pants and it is complete! Great photo of how they are generally worn here.

This tzute is in excellent used condition with very little sign of wear. This would make a stunning table cover or wall accent. A very lovely textile!
