Welcome to our New Website/Shop

Let us start by saying that the website and shop are new (although we have been selling textiles online for since 2006), so please be patient as we work out any issues. Don’t hesitate to drop us a message at info@ixcheltextiles.com if you encounter any problems.

How can I purchase an item?

You may purchase using our PayPal shopping cart and checkout. All prices and shipping will be calculated automatically once items are added to the cart. Purchases may be completed through PayPal using either an existing PayPal account or a major credit card (VISA/MasterCard). Any overages in shipping fees will be refunded once the package is processed for shipping.

Or, you may contact us to discuss your purchases and discuss possible discounts for purchasing multiple items or combined shipping costs. Using this method, once items are selected, you will be sent an invoice from Ixchel Textiles that details your purchase and includes a link directly to the PayPal payment page.

We want you to be happy with your purchase, and we welcome questions about our items. We would be glad provide additional photos of items upon request. Just ask!

Do you accept returns?

At this time, we currently do not accept the return of items. The reason for this is due to the stringent customs regulations for all incoming packages to Guatemala and the unreliability of the incoming mail services.

We will gladly provide additional photos, descriptions, and any other details you might need to ensure that you are comfortable with the condition of the item(s) you wish to purchase. Please just ask!

What about shipping?

All items are located in Guatemala, and will ship from there unless otherwise noted. We will sometimes have items available to ship from the United States. We ship using a shipping service that uses UPS and USPS (within the U.S.A), or DHL. The price of shipping is dependent on the weight of the items selected and the mailing destination.

Shipping costs are based on a tiered package weight. We are still working out correct shipping structures, so if prices don’t seem correct, please just ask! Any overages in shipping fees will be refunded once the package is processed for shipping.

Package delivery is approximately 15 business days.

How do I care for my item?

Most all items that we sell are daily use clothing items. Generally they have been washed numerous times before we have received them. All items we have washed ourselves to remove dust, dirt, and smells. Most textiles can be gently hand washed in cool water using a small amount of powder or liquid detergent pre-diluted in water. Once rinsed, they should be either hung or laid flat to dry. We recommend testing a small corner of the fabric for color fastness. When in doubt, please don’t hesitate to ask us, we would be glad to help.

What if I don’t see an item I am looking for on your web page?

Please don’t hesitate to ask! We love looking for special request items! It is sometimes a challenge, but we have access to items from many of the numerous regions of Guatemala, and have been known to find a few items from Mexico as well.
