This large and sturdy carrying cloth is less formal that the traditional tzute, but a necessity in daily life. It is used for carrying everything from small children to purchases made at the market. It measures 49″ by 49″. It is made of two large panels with a lovely hand stitched randa design where the two panels meet.
The colors of this wonderful woven carrier are a rainbow of colors with an emphasis in red and white! The carrier is accented with ikat style stripes throughout that feature hidden quetzal birds and milpa corn plants, .
This lovely cloth can be used for many things including as a wonderful table covering. It is in good used condition with perhaps a few loose threads and a couple of thin, worn areas. It does have a hole on one edge that measure approximately 1″ x 1 1/2″ (shown in photos). It shows that this textile has been used and loved!
