One of a kind soft and striking vintage woven folk-art huipil blouse from the San Juan Cotzal region in Guatemala.
Can be worn or stunningly displayed in your home!

Size: extra small/small
Material: Cotton with acrylic blend threads
Measures:
23″ across the shoulders
21.5″ across the chest
17″ and 19 1/2″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded) The front and back panels are of different lengths.
The neck opening is rectangular and measures 5 1/2″ x 6″ (generous fit over average adult head)
The sides have been stitched to create armholes

Very detailed smaller vintage huipil from the village of San Juan Cotzal.

This huipil features extensive and elaborate weaving of geomorphic figures that are representative for the area woven into the soft and heavy background. There are many birds, deer, and corn plants woven throughout. The weaving is a rainbow of colors woven on a deep rich teal background mostly cotton with deep purple stripes along the sides. The collar has been trimmed with rows colorful stitching.

This huipil is in great used condition with little sign of wear, perhaps a few loose threads. Perfect textile for display or wear
