Vintage huipil from the village of Quetzaltenango. This striking huipil measures 30″ across the shoulders, 22″ across the chest* (*if tailored side stitching is removed, it can be opened to at least 26″+ across), and 26″ from the neckline to the bottom edges (folded). The neck opening is circular and measures 7″ in diameter. The sides have been stitched to create armholes.
This huipil is beautiful with its striking colors throughout in various shades of blues, purples, and greens. It is woven on a medium weight cotton blend white background. The sides have been taken in approximately 2″ on each side, so opening the seams on the sides can add several inches to the overall width.
This huipil is in good used condition, with little sign of wear. There are perhaps a few loose threads. Beautiful and unique vintage work of art!
